Full of personal integrity, confidence, compassion, courage, kindness, commitment, overcome challenges, intellectually strong, and takes risks. The democratic leader, William J. Clinton, also known as Bill Clinton, encompasses these leadership qualities and more; and with every new project he takes on he instills a new found hope to those in need. It is said that,
"During [his]... administration, the U.S. enjoyed more peace and economic well being than at any time in its history. ...He could point to the lowest unemployment rate in modern times, the lowest inflation in 30 years, the highest home ownership in the country's history, dropping crime rates in many places, and reduced welfare rolls. He proposed the first balanced budget in decades and achieved a budget surplus. He sought legislation to upgrade education, to protect jobs of parents who must care for sick children, to restrict handgun sales, and to strengthen environmental rules."
"Because of his work world leaders have made 1,700 Commitments to Action to improve more than 220 million lives around the world; 9,000 American schools are providing kids with healthy food choices in an effort to eradicate childhood obesity; 4,300 African farmers have improved their crops to feed 30,000 people; 14 cities around the world are implementing energy efficiency projects to eliminate 75,000 tons of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere each year; $20 million is being invested in small- and medium-sized businesses in Colombia; and 2.6 million people have benefited from lifesaving HIV/AIDS medications".
These two quotes demonstrate his enormous political, social and economical power in the US and in many countries abroad. His Clinton Global Initiative alone has spurred thousands of projects that is worth over 60 billion dollars. Here are some of the aids the initiative has provided.
"More than $1.75 billion in new capital has been invested in or loaned to small and medium enterprises.
More than 16 million women and girls have had access to empowerment initiatives.
More than 10 million people have improved their access to capital and financial services.
Nearly 5 million people have obtained access to information technology.
More than 2 million girls have been reached with efforts targeting female enrollment in schools.
50 million children have been given access to education in formal or non-formal school programs.
More than 90 million acres of forest have been protected or restored.
More than 400 million metric tons of CO2 emissions have been cut or abated.
Enough clean energy has been generated to power more than 400,000 homes.
75 million people have increased access to maternal and child health and survival programs.
Nearly 20 million people have increased access to safe drinking water".
Although Bill Clinton has accomplished more than many have even attempted in an entire generation he is mostly remembered because of his affair with Monica Lewinsky. Despite this, Bill Clinton is said to have such a big heart that he takes a great sense of accountability if a project(s) fails to meet his expectations. He continues to learn new things and develop new talents with every new project he signs on to.
I will leave you all with a video from Clinton's recent visit to help those affected by the disastrous earthquake in Haiti (Bush Clinton Haiti Project).
Danielle, this post would have been even better if you had used your own words to paraphrase the information you found online. Though it's tempting to copy/paste online content that conveys the same message we want to communicate, it is our job to find a NEW angle to that information. In this case, your new angle was to portray Bill Clinton as a leader, not simply to convey his accomplishments and provide us with a list of his accomplishments. Additionally, you I can't tell where you were pulling those quotes from. It's not enough to say "it is said"... you must list a source and ideally link to it directly.
