Conversation should touch everything, but should concentrate itself on nothing

One of the most basic types of conversation is when there are two people conversing about some topic that they are probably both interested in. There are different communication models that represent different types of communication, but the "communication model that best represents daily face-to-face communication where two people go back and forth, continuously building on the discussion and exchanging the roles sender and receiver" is Transactional. One answer that is a close alternative that you might think to be the right answer is Conversational. For the most part, when two people are talking, we define that as having a conversation, even though that is not necessarily the correct term. The other two terms, Interactional and linear are also not right. Interactional refers to when one person speaks and then another person speaks, but there is no feedback, similar to a presidential debate. Linear refers to one person talking and another person listening but is not talking back. The transactional model is best represented by a simple conversation, as depicted here in this scene from the movie clerks 2:
